MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, December 24, 2010 – Vololink Pty Ltd, a privately held, leading global provider of 3G/3G+ wireless terminal devices to the telecommunications industry, today announced the release of the VoloAccess range of fixed wireless terminals that are capable of download speeds up to 42Mbps on DC-HSPA+ capable wireless networks. The VoloAccess VA126 delivers the latest hardware and firmware enabling service providers to deliver the fastest wireless experience available in the market today on DC-HSPA+ networks.
The VoloAccess is packed with all the features needed for wireless broadband functionality. Vololink’s Chief Technology Officer, Milan Prosenica stated that the VoloAccess suite of offerings is the product of numerous years of research and development and market experience in delivering wireless terminals in both the Australian and export markets. “Our long term aim of providing a stable, reliable and robust platform that can cater for many different environments and customer requirements makes the VoloAccess a prime contender for wireless operators around the world. True to the pedigree of Vololink’s leading edge products, an LTE offering in the same form factor as the current VoloAccess is due in Q1’2011. The VoloAccess form factor has key attributes including:
- In-built standard firmware providing security, remote management, IP failover as standard,
- LTE ready hardware platform,
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n as standard,
- USB host port for external USB devices,
- Four Ethernet ports plus a dedicated Ethernet WAN port, and
- Dual external 3G antennas for better performance.
The current suite of VoloAccess voice enabled units also feature an inbuilt ATA, two RJ11 telephone ports and resident VoIP/FoIP software. It is anticipated that voice capable VoloAccess HSPA+ units will be available in early 2011.
